Portfolio - Garden Design

Originally trading as Garden Works I have designed and constructed over fifty gardens in and around Dorset with projects ranging in size from twenty square metres to two or three acres. I have worked in different styles with a wide range of materials and plants. Every client is different, so I always make sure their personality is reflected in the design and that their practical requirements are met and arranged in a cohesive manner. I design with the existing space and the surrounding environment in mind working to create provocative and soulful retreats.

Rural gardens should complement the architectural style of the buildings they surround. They should flow, decreasing in formality away from the house and blend into the landscape beyond. In towns and cities we have opportunities for more radical designs with spaces cut off from the outside world and a patchwork of architectural styles and cultures. As a designer I relish the opportunity to work in either environment using my experience and perception to overcome all challenges.
